ESI Continues Working Globally
Meet ESI's Senior Forester, Jonathan Pomp. He graduated from West Virginia University in 2006 with a BS in Forest Resources Management and obtained a MS in Forestry from the same institution in 2008. Jonathan has been with ESI for eight months now. He is responsible for GHG forestry offset project validations/verifications, forest biometrics, and field assessments for projects around the world. During his eight months with ESI, Jonathan has participated in three ESI site visits - Southwestern VA, Kenya, and Papua New Guinea (PNG). While working afield, he uses GPS to collect assessment data and for navigation purposes. He also conducts validation and verification related forest inventory work using typical mensurational tools, including some of the latest electronic hypsometers.

ESI Provides Comprehensive GHG Validation/Verification Services
ESI is accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) under ISO 14065:2007 for greenhouse gas validation and verification bodies including: ISO 14064-3:2006, ISO 14065:2007, validation/verification of assertions related to GHG emission reductions and removals at the project level for Land Use and Forestry (Group 3). ESI is also an Accredited Offset Verification Body of Offset Project Data Reports for the California Air Resource Board. Our accreditations underline and reinforce our ability to meet the stringent requirements for independent, third-party validators and verifiers of the leading GHG programs.
ESI first established our Forestry, Carbon, and GHG Services Division in 2007. Since then, we have completed numerous validation and/or verification projects across the United States and around the world. The independent, third-party GHG validation/verification services provided by ESI ensure that GHG emissions reduction/removal assertions within defined projects are accurate, transparent, and credible.

ESI Sponsors Jacksonville, Florida Arboretum
As a sponsor of the Jacksonville Arboretum and Gardens (JAG), ESI would like to congratulate JAG and their tireless and dedicated board members and volunteers on another successful year of hosting their signature event "A Brush with Nature". Even though the weather presented a few challenges, the Arboretum's third "plein air" painting accomplished their objectives-to spread awareness of the arboretum and to raise funds to support the Arboretum's mission.
There were large crowds on Thursday and Friday, and many braved the rain on Saturday night for the Gala. It is a monumental undertaking that has become a much anticipated event within the community.
Congratulations JAG and we look forward to working with you next year.
