Judy Watts, recently retired editor of the Summerville Journal Scene, will be signing her book at a reception at

Art Central Gallery from 5-8pm.

"The Watts household is in constant turmoil as they do the dance of life with their wiener dogs. The dachshunds keep Mom, the Hubster, Surfer Dude and Manchild #2 busy and entertained as they deal with the antics of their herd of wieners. Author and veteran journalist Judy Watts' first book of her popular columns, The Watts Line, is at home in Summerville, South Carolina in the greater Charleston, SC area. She lives there with her husband Patrick, an attorney, and youngest son Paul, an actor. Their oldest child, Sean and his wife Maya live in North Bend, Oregon with their daughter Rook. All are owned by the dogs they love."

There will be authors at businesses all over town as part of the Third Thursday events!

Delaine Walters

Windows & Window Boxes

Art Central artist, Delaine Walters, loves lace!

And that is what inspired her new exhibit, "Windows and Window Boxes". During a recent trip to France, Walters kept noticing little details that made the buildings into homes: the welcoming pot of flowers by the front stoop, the window box dripping with blossoms, the combination of old and new materials on buildings, and of course, the lace curtains moving with the breeze. The hard, cold stone of the architecture, she says, makes the soft, transparent lace even

more gorgeous.
