MINIATURE SHOW AND SALE

The artists of Art Central are celebrating the holidays in a big way - with miniature paintings! Each little piece of art is under 4 inches on each side, with some as small as 2 inches per side.  Artist Christine Crosby says, "It's the same process as with a much larger panting only with a much smaller brush - maybe also a pair of glasses!"

This small format also gives the artists an opportunity to explore different techniques, subject matter, and even painting surfaces than they use in their regular work. Delaine Walters has painted some mini art on translucent abalone shells. Other artists have painted miniature oil paintings that sit on mini easels - including a 2x2 inch Morris Island Light House by Christine Crosby.

The minis are small enough to use as an ornament on the tree, or in a table top arrangement. Miniature Show & Sale through December.
