two Dr. Dunne's Injury to Recovery

 

"I was playing in an indoor women's recreational soccer league game when it happened. I should have known something was wrong because I had actually scored a goal (never happens) and then second half--tried to change directions while running and "pop"," Dr. Dunne explained.

The popping feeling is a common description when patients describe an Achilles (uh-kill-eez) tendon rupture.

 

Last February Dr. Dunne had surgery to repair her Achilles and just weeks ago she participated in her second race since injury, the Disney Princess Half Marathon. Read more.
