City of Durango Making a Few More Changes
|
At the Recycling Center (710 Tech Center Dr.):
- Only single stream recycling and cardboard will be collected. Glass can be dropped off, but must be separated from other recyclables.
- The Recycling Center will be open for drop offs from 8 am to 6 pm, Monday-Saturday.
- There is a $1 charge for up to 60 gallons of material; commercial quantities of recyclable material will be accepted for $2 per cubic yard.
- Batteries and electronics may be dropped off on Saturdays. There is a two pound minimum for batteries at $0.50 per pound. Electronic recycling fees remain the same.
At the current public drop-offs (behind the north City Market, at the Fort Lewis Physical Plant and behind Wagon Wheel liquors):
- Glass only will be accepted. Glass recycling is at no cost at these locations.
These changes will create a more efficient, cost-effective recycling program. Call 970-375-5004 or visit City of Durango online.
