Ramping Up
Business must have gone through the worksite wellness, sustainability, and energy assessments, as well as have implemented one recommended action from their report.
Making a Difference
Business must have achieved the 'Ramping Up' status, and have implemented three recommendations, one in each area of Energy Efficiency, Worksite Wellness, and Sustainability.
Going Beyond
The highest level of recognition in the program, businesses that have made nine improvements, three in each area of Energy Efficiency, Worksite Wellness, and Sustainability, are certified as 'Going Beyond'.

Level of Certification: Making a Difference
Improvements Made: Installed insulating shades on all windows and insulated their water heater tank and pipes. Additionally, they signed their entire building up for single-stream recycling, purchased green cleaning products for their janitor to use, and dedicated their February 2013 newsletter to sustainability topics. They have also begun to post weekly environmental tips on Facebook and have implemented a worksite wellness program.
Other: In addition to implementing the above actions through the RSBP, Pediatric Associates of Durango has also previously taken many actions to be Resource Smart, such as creating a green business mission statement, transitioning to all electronic medical records, using non-disposable and mercury-free instruments, purchasing used office equipment, sending Styrofoam vaccine boxes back to the vendor to be recycled, giving vaccine ice-packs to local groups to reuse, purchasing recycled content paper products, covering furniture in non-toxic materials, and providing patients with sustainably-made promotional materials, among other activities.
