Ramping Up

Business must have gone through the worksite wellness, sustainability, and energy assessments, as well as have implemented one recommended action from their report.

 

Making a Difference

Business must have achieved the 'Ramping Up' status, and have implemented three recommendations, one in each area of Energy Efficiency, Worksite Wellness, and Sustainability.

 

Going Beyond

The highest level of recognition in the program, businesses that have made nine improvements, three in each area of Energy Efficiency, Worksite Wellness, and Sustainability, are certified as 'Going Beyond'.

Level of Certification: Ramping Up

Improvements Made: Insulated all steam pipe runs to reduce heat loss as the steam heat travels from the basement to all four floors, decreasing operational costs to heat the building.

Other: In addition to installing pipe insulation through the RSBP, the Animas Museum has also previously taken many actions to be Resource Smart, such as reusing and recycling as much as possible, buying recycled paper and paper products, buying most items used, using native plants in the garden to decrease water consumption, using integrated pest management instead of chemical sprays, using green cleaning products, offering an option to opt-in to the electronic version of their newsletter, among other activities.
