Business must have gone through the worksite wellness, sustainability, and energy assessments, as well as have implemented one recommended action from their report.
Making a Difference
Business must have achieved the 'Ramping Up' status, and have implemented three recommendations, one in each area of Energy Efficiency, Worksite Wellness, and Sustainability.
Going Beyond
The highest level of recognition in the program, businesses that have made nine improvements, three in each area of Energy Efficiency, Worksite Wellness, and Sustainability, are certified as 'Going Beyond'.

Improvements Made: Upgraded lighting to LEDs, with an estimated annual savings of $1,194 and 12,570 kWh. This is a return on investment (ROI) of 1.2 years!
Other: In addition to upgrading their lighting through the RSBP, Durango Coffee Company has also previously taken many actions to be Resource Smart, such as installing solar panels on the roof, working with local suppliers to reduce packaging, reusing packaging to ship own products, composting organic waste, installing low-flow toilets and faucet aerators, using company bikes to transport coffee to the farmer's market, installing a bike rack for customers in the parking space outside the store, sourcing sustainable and fair trade teas and coffee, and sourcing locally as much as possible, among other activities.
