October NEWS |
Greetings!
WE DID IT!!!!!!!
The Jeffersontown High School Alumni Association has once again proven that our Chargers are the BEST graduates of all!!! Our football entrance is complete!! The brick columns and gates are up, the new landscaping has been planted, and the memorial pathway has been installed!! We now have a football stadium which proudly displays the names of our honorees: William T. Reynolds, J'town's first principal and Jim Hughes, the first football coach of our school.
On Friday, Sept. 2, the JHS Alumni Association hosted a rededication ceremony for our new football field entrance. The program began with the traditional bagpipe rendition of "Scotland the Brave" played by current music teacher, Tamara Stewart. Speakers Principal Marty Pollio, Alumni President Charlie Tritle, Myra Fugate, and Paul Gambert welcomed the audience and acknowledged all of those who have worked so hard to make our a project a reality, including: Buddie Jaha, Paul Gambert, Mike Mason, Steve Connors, Jason Malone, Steve Thompson, Alan Stogsdill, Regan Thomas, and so many others, including those of you who purchased a brick.
