Selected small antiques for holiday giving
|
After several weeks of unseasonably warm weather, New Englanders were beginning to feel that winter would never arrive. Last week's snowstorm changed all of that. Winter is now here, and thoughts of holiday gift-giving have begun to supersede memories of turkey and family.
Not coincidentally, we've dedicated much of this month's newsletter to new stock listings that we believe would make desirable gifts. The spotlight is on jewelry and smalls that are both attractive and affordable, as well as small enough to be easily and speedily shipped. To make it even simpler, all of this month's new listings include free shipping within the continental United States and are tax-free if shipped out of Massachusetts. We hope you'll take a few minutes to have a look. |

Pippin's Page

In any business, quality control is a key element in the formula for success. Not wishing to entrust this responsibility to two mere humans, Pippin lends a hand (and a nose) to the inspection process.

The Back Page
Conway's first winter storm of 2014 left us without electricity for around twelve hours, as wet, sticky snow attached itself to power lines and trees, causing numerous outages. While we lost small limbs on a few trees and plants in our yard, our home and barns suffered no damage. Shortly after our power came back on, around 6:00 a.m. on Wednesday, I went for a walk and took a few photographs in the early morning light. One of the most striking is this month's back page.
