Jan and John Maggs Antiques

NEWSLETTER - May 6, 2014

Last weekend we held our annual Spring Post-England Opening and, once again, we were humbled by the enthusiasm of the many friends and buyers who made the trip to Conway from as far away as Pennsylvania. Both enthusiasm and sales were strong, and by Sunday evening we'd had one of our most successful shows ever. As usual, this newsletter highlights some of the best pieces still available. We've listed six pieces of early oak, half a dozen paintings, and a dozen each of jewelry and smalls. You'll find a link to thumbnails of these 36 objects in the box below. We hope you'll have a look.

Another Royal Oak

We've written twice about The Royal Oak in Burford, one of our favorite English pubs. In our October newsletter we lamented the departure of its most recent proprietors. Last month we found a worthy replacement for this wonderful pub: another Royal Oak, this one in Sussex. If you relish good country pubs and fine cask conditioned ales, you might enjoy this story.
