Furthering Knowledge

At VNoC and VIoC, we're aware every day of the need to expand our base of knowledge, and that of our referring vets and pet owners. Clinical trials like the one VNoC is participating in (see article below), our Q&A articles on topics of concern to pet owners, and VIoC's weekly case study are just a few of the ways we keep our commitment to furthering our knowledge and yours.

Remember, we welcome your questions. Whether you have a question about a case, recommended protocols, or how MRI might aid in diagnosis, please let us know.

As always, we'd like to thank all the pet owners and referring vets. We continue to be honored that you trust and value our services.

Sincerely,

Dr. Jay McDonnell, Dr. Rebecca Krimins
and Staffs of VNoC & VIoC

Dogs that can barely walk and those that can't walk at all due to disk disease have an 80% to 95% chance to return to normal function with surgery. MORE>>

UpdateUpdate on Anesthesia Scavenger Systems By Rebecca A. Krimins, DVM, MS
Rebecca Krimins DVM
A referring veterinarian called last week and asked me to check their hospital scavenging system to see if it was appropriately set up. I thought this would be a good time to review the basics on scavenging equipment. Before starting any anesthetic procedure, the scavenging system should be checked to see that it is connected to the disposal system and that the disposal system is turned on, if an active system is used. Cody the Wiener Dog
Hi, my name is Cody. I'd like to tell you what I've been through and how I met Dr. Jay McDonnell and his staff at Veterinary Neurology of the Chesapeake.

My story starts last summer when I took a spill down the stairs and hurt my back. After some visits to my veterinarian here in York, Pennsylvania, and medication, I was back to being my smart, adorable wiener dog self. MORE>>
