Summer Scientist Program
Great Family Activity, Tuesday, July 7

Brock Environmental Center, 6:00-8:00 PM

Do you dread the classic question in the fall..."What did you do on your summer vacation?"  Are you looking for an activity your family can do together out in nature?  Something fun and educational that will also help to save our river?

LRNow is partnering with the Virginia Aquarium for a new citizen science program to monitor the water

quality in the river by analyzing data taken by families from the water nearest their home.

The training workshop will be held July 7th, at the Brock Environmental Center, from 6 to 8 PM.  Taking the samples is easy to do, and takes just a few minutes a week.  Exciting perks include trips to the Aquarium and even Behind the Scenes tours!

If you are interested in more information or would like to register, please contact Emily at or call 962-5398.  Spaces are limited and will go quickly.
