Lynnhaven River NOW will again be partnering with Back Bay Restoration Foundation to bring you an exciting day of groundbreaking research, varying points of view on important environmental issues, and practical information that you can use right now.  You will not want to miss this interesting program.

There will be workshop options from which you can choose.  Learn more about the flora and fauna of Virginia Beach and practical things that you can do to help sustain our
environment and protect our waterways.
All sessions are interactive with time for questions from the audience.

Opening Panel:  How are our Schools teaching Sustainability?  What can we all learn from what our schools are doing?  The panel includes a teacher, a parent, VB Schools Sustainability Officer, and VB Science Coordinator.

Closing Panel:  Sea Level Rise: What do you think we should be doing?  We have all seen the maps.  We know the seas are rising, but how is this already affecting people in Hampton Roads and what should we be doing to prepare?  Our panel includes Ben McFarlane, Hampton Roads Planning District Commission, Whitney McNamara on floodplain maps and FEMA insurance, Skip Stiles on what to expect in homeowners' insurance, Mark Swingle with the homeowner's perspective, Laura Habr to present the oceanfront business view and Steve Lawson with the perspective from the business community.

And six other interesting sessions in between
