Virginia Pine We have Virginia Pine trees free to good homes.  These two foot tall trees were grown by Bob Carroll's Plaza Middle School students and are ready to find their forever homes.  Virginia Pines have been used as Christmas trees so you can share your holidays with your new tree before planting it. Contact Helen at helen@LRNow.org or call 757-962-5398 to reserve your tree today.  The trees will be ready for pick up at the LRNow office the weekend before the Thanksgiving holiday.

Pearl Schools 101
Fall Workshop for Teachers and Administrators
College Park Elementary School Cafeteria
Monday, October 29, 2012, 6:30-8:30
Have you seen your neighboring schools getting glowing compliments for becoming a Pearl School?
Have you been a Pearl School in the past but need help regaining the momentum to do it again this year?
Have you inherited coordination of your school's ongoing Pearl School legacy and don't know where to start?
This planning workshop is for you!

At LRNow we recognize that our schools are doing great things and we want to recognize you.  Come and learn the basics about being recognized as an LRNow Pearl School.  Listen to what other schools have done to make it happen.  Bring your questions and uncertainties about the program and let LRNow Education and Outreach Coordinator Helen Kuhns help you to shape a plan to be recognized in May, 2013.  2012-2013 Pearl School materials will be available at the workshop.

Check our website for information on the Pearl School program:
