Anthem Richmond Marathon was won by Ben Zywicki, 26, of Louisville, Colorado, in a time of 2:18:35, becoming the first American man to win the race since Michael Harrison in 2000.
Benjamin Smoker wins Rocky Face 50K Trail Race up Rocky Face Mountain in 7:32:32, Alexander County, NC. Second was female winner Psyche Wimberly in 8:15:41. Third was Charles Raffensperger in 8:15:46.

Houston Marathon Foundation (HMF) will provide $40,000 in funding for U.S. elite long-distance running development programs. Grant support for the training and development of U.S. long-distance runners has been awarded to local Houston athlete and former Rice University four-time NCAA Division I All-American Becky Wade, Team USA Minnesota and ZAP Fitness, headquartered in North Carolina.

IRONMAN announces Chattanooga, TN, has been selected to host the 26th race in the IRONMAN® 70.3® U.S. Series with Sunbelt Bakery as the title sponsor. The inaugural Sunbelt Bakery IRONMAN 70.3 Chattanooga triathlon will take place on Sunday, May 17, 2015.
Sean Keveren, Mina DeMarco win Hokie Half Marathon at Blacksburg, VA in persistent rain. Keveren, of Charlottesville, won in 1:08:33. DeMarco, of Blacksburg, finished in 1:23:40 as top female.

Condolences to Jacob Wells' family and friends. Wells, of Little Rock, AR, died Nov. 7 after suffering cardiac arrest in Midsouth Marathon. He ran over 150 marathons, was a running legend in Arkansas.
