HeucCoral Bells of many colors
Heucheras are bursting constantly with striking, foliar color and delighting us, and the hummingbirds, with their tall delicate flowers.
Coral Bells are never dull or boring, looking great once they emerge early spring demanding attention in a part- shade or filtered light garden.

We are fully stocked with many of our new varieties and some good old favorites! We gardeners love color!!!

Jamie_s display bench Jamie continues to gather blooming perennials for his display hub in the yard next to the potting house. It's a great spot for the quick grab and go shopper and a design aid for planting color now.

He recently stepped up the show by incorporating benches to hold some 4" potted material and increase the ease of shopping.

Have customers interested in choosing their favorite varieties? Remember, they are welcome to accompany you, but unfortunatly we cannot allow them into either sales yard on their own, not even to just look. Our first and only priority is our #1 customer - YOU!
Something New, Something ...Orange!
Geum coccineum 'Borisii'
Geum Borisii
Dwarf Geum

For adding some sparkle to the borders, here's an underused perennial to consider. Avens, better known by its latin name Geum (pronounced gee-um) is hard to walk by without thinking 'sweet'! Large fuzzy basal foliage adds a nice mound of clean texture. Thin, hairy stems branch out over the leaves 12-15" holding bright, orange-red flowers with yellow centers starting in June and reblooming, with deadheading, all summer. Plant in well-drained soil in full sun to partial shade. Requires even moisture so extra watering in intense heat may be needed. Hardy in Zones 5-7.

Golden Japanese Spikenard

This Weeks ID
This Weeks ID
Sun King Spikenard is an unusual plant with many cool features. It's a perennial that will grow into a 3' x 3' mound in a New York minute thanks to its huge compound leaves. They create a stunning mass of bright chartreuse. Little flower clusters on thin stems form in summer that turn into small, black inedible berries. Best of all it loves the shade, which is right where you want something bright and eye-catching!  Full shade may turn the leaves a little darker, but just an hour or two full sun will keep them bright chartreuse. It wants consistent moisture in well-drained soil. Deer-resistant but bees love it! Hardy zones 4-8, native to Japan. Give them a try - but hurry - supplies are limited!
