Jack-in-the-Pulpits, One Cool Native!
|
Arisaema triphyllum
4" pots - quantities are limited
|
We're very happy to offer some native, home-grown Jack-in-the-Pulpits in 4" pots - (Arisaema triphyllum), but not as happy as Peter, our container grower, who collected the seed here near our pond and has been watching these grow into a saleable size for the last three years! Arisaema are perennials that grow from onion-like corms which can be very long-lived (100 year old plants are apparently common). The corms have one or two stems with a trio of bright-green leaves. News from Watertown
The Crabapples are blooming! Our growing fields have been bursting with color lately and right now the Crabapples are in full bloom. Both sales yards have a wide selection of 1.75-2", 2-2.5" caliper including Adams, Coral Burst, Sargent Tina and the weeper Red Jade to name a few. Check out the chart in the catalog on pg. 48 for details on mature sizes, habits, fruit and leaf color. They're an old-fashioned ornamental tree that never looks out-dated!

Can Your Customers Come In Without You?
The simple answer, no.
We've had a lot of phone calls from your customers wondering if they can come into the nursery to look at and tag plant material. Some even expect to be able to purchase just by mentioning their landscaper's name. We understand it's a busy time of year for you, but in an effort to protect our customer's right to mark up wholesale material as they see fit, we cannot allow 'retail' customers in the sales yards without you. That said, we are happy to help you locate material in the yard with your customers, whether it is for purchase that day or for future delivery. We have extended hours during the week (7- 5:30 in Newtown) and Saturdays 7-2pm. We hope that helps out in scheduling meetups with your clients.
