HAPPY ARBOR DAY

Jeff's Pick - Paperbark Maple

Jeff and his buddy - Kyle!

Acer griseum, Paperbark Maple, is one of our most captivating deciduous trees. Not only does it have  beautiful exfoliating bark (hence the name) but it is still a solid option for providing a great accent piece that anyone can enjoy. The cinnamon colored bark is always going through exfoliation - as the tree grows the old bark peels off in curled cinnamon ribbons. Not only does the bark provide a unique attribute, but the leaves in the fall become a brilliant red that stands out in any setting. I love these so much I planted one when my son was born. When we sold our old house, the hardest thing about moving was leaving this beautiful Paperbark Maple. I know that once you use this in a job, you'll want to have one for yourself! Whether it's at a residence or a business, Paperbark Maples makes a perfect landscape even better!

(Thanks for stopping by, Kyle!)

Right now  we have a nice selection from 7/8 feet up to 7-8 inch caliper.

Big Trees Need a Big Spade!

Large tree spade in action!
Our large tree spade is earning its keep!

Duane and his crew are really excited to be digging some large caliper trees off our farms, including these 20-22' clump River Birch and 12-14' Norway Spruce which are wide and gorgeous! The large tree spade can dig up to a 72" ball and it takes Duane together with Ciro, Victor and Dylan an average of about 2 man hours to complete the multi-step process.  Also dug this week were some beautiful 7-8" caliper Zelkova serrata 'Green Vase' and a narrower form of Zelkova serrata called 'Musahino' - perfect for tight spaces and urban sights. So if your customer is looking for something large - look no further - Give us a call for availability!

Locally grown beautiful trees at great prices.

Viburnum carlcephalum

Plant in moist well-drained soil in full sun close to walkways and entryways where they'll really be appreciated for their
Large sizes available - 6/7' and 8/10'
spicey fragrance. Also great in the shrub border or as a single specimen. Are you more familiar with Korean Spice Viburnum -V. carlesii? We also have a good selection of our container grown plus medium and larger B&B sizes.
