On A Personal Note:
You ever hear someone say, "Man, I am flat tuckered?" Or maybe "I feel like this ol' world has sucked the everlastin' life out of me today!" Or...if you have not lived on the farm for long, maybe something like, "I am really, really exhausted and I do not see how I can make it up to bed tonight..."
Why do we feel this way from time to time? How did we let ourselves get caught up on the treadmill called life without a switch to flip to the OFF mode??? You know this happens to everyone of us, especially those that care for and are caring of others. Special folks tend to continue to reach out to others even when they need to be reaching a point of rekindling for themselves. Yep, sometimes we do not understand that if we are not taking care of ourselves, both mentally and physically, we might tend to internalize another's negative state as our own...then transfer it on to still others.
The Coffeeman is "way not special", so maybe I am not normal in these respects...you see my tension comes from within while realizing that others are doing their best to do their best, but still bugging the caffeine out of me! What I am saying is that you and I need to sit a spell...this can best be done while sipping on a mug of The Alpaca Bean Coffee...but lacking that...we still need to step back, take a deep intake of O and then breath out ever so slowly...now don't we feel better? What do you mean you do not feel better???!!!! Woops, there I go again trying to get into your very soul...knowing that it is your soul and only you know its condition or anything else about it!
Soon will be a good time to take advantage of a gift given to us by our favorite university or college...FOOTBALL!!! Now, there is a tension builder and instant tension release as well! Let's all make a deal...once the weather cools, the grass growth rate slows, and the pigskin starts flyin'...we will STOP whatever we are doing at least two times each month to enjoy the most important, unimportant thing taking place on a Saturday...FOOTBALL!! Now, you can do this in front of the fifty yard line, in front of your TV, or simply in front of your trusty radio...but make a promise to yourself that you will take that time...turn the volume down if you really aren't into football and read a good book, The Good Book, or any other book, but promise to spend the time you need to recharge...be it on a Saturday or each day of the week.
For one, I am gonna try...mug in hand...to recharge so I will have the energy to recognize the beauty of folks doing their best to do their best...sometimes so I can as well!
Peace,
The Coffeeman
