Tips
  • It is still winter - so don't pull out the white pumps (which I seriously hope you do not own!) or the flip flops!  It is still cold outside - if only for a little while longer.  Take advantage of the cool weather to wear those sweaters, coats, and boots.

  • Looking forward - a little- Spring is going to be bright again.  Go through your sping wardrobes and clean and tailor anything that still needs help.  You want to be ready to go when the temperature goes up.  Look at jackets, shoe heels, and your basic white shirts. (if those whites have yellow stains, it is time to replace)!

  • Resort wear is full of horizontal stripes that are going to bleed into the spring styles too.  Watch out!  These are hard to wear- you can look like you broke out of prison or make people dizzy with the stripes if you are not careful.  If you are on the thin side, or have a pear shape - then you can do the stripes.

What to buy this month

This is a new feature that I will have every month this year.  There is  an optimum time to buy certain things and here it is for January...

Linens and Towels

There are beautiful, well priced items from Walmart to Neimans.  Look for sales on line before you go.  It is a great time to go through your linen closet, clean out and maybe replace or beef up your stash.
