Elder workshop 2 Elder Law Workshop

Legal information for senior citizens, family members, caregivers and elder care professionals. Topics include: wills, health care proxies, executors and more. The Elder Law Pro Bono Workshop is a collaboration between the Albany Law School Pro Bono Program and the Rural Law Center of NY. 

  
  
Writing Workshop
with Sandra Dutton

A workshop for beginners on writing and/or illustrating the picture book and middle grade novel. Plot, character, getting ideas and submitting your work will all be covered. This is a "wet your appetite" workshop, pointing writers and/or illustrators in the direction they need to go to develop their own projects. Sandra Dutton is a published author and illustrator.

 Everyone is welcome, whether you are just learning, or an experienced quilter looking for a few tips. Sessions run for 6 Mondays beginning October 14th at 6:30PM. This workshop is sponsored by the Friends of the Library and is held at Van Heest Hall in Bethany Village. Call the library to sign up.

The purpose of the vote will be to approve the library budget for the year 2013 and to elect three members to the library board of trustees. The library board of trustees is the governing board of the library. Each year the residents of Coxsackie elect three trustees to the nine-member board for a three-year term and vote on the special district library tax. All currently registered voters in the Town of Coxsackie are eligible to vote.

The Friends of the Library meet the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 7:00 PM at the Seventh Stone on Reed St, across from the library. Stop by or call the library for more information if you would like to join this active fundraising group.
 
The library board meeting, which is usually scheduled for the 3rd Thursday of the month, has been moved to Thursday October 10th..
The library will be open on Columbus Day, Monday October 14th.
