2013 Summer Reading Program

a huge success

 

Our Summer Reading Program participants read a total of 2000 books over a five week period. More than 80 children and parents celebrated at our closing ice cream sundae party, compliments of Stewart's Shops.

Allsion Smith and Tom McManus are returning with Thabiso and Beau this fall. Pick a book and read to Thabiso or Beau on Tuesdays at 4:30. Thank you Tom and Allison for sharing Thabiso and Beau.

Looking for an interesting, low cost way to spend the weekends?You can use your library card to borrow family passes for the following museums: The Albany Institute of History and Art, The Bronck House, Olana, MISCI-Museum of Innovation and Science, and the USS Slater.

The annual fall bus trip to NYC is scheduled for Saturday November 9th. The $37.00 round trip tickets are selling fast! The bus leaves the Coxsackie Village Bldg. promptly at 7:00 am and returns from Bryant Park at 6:00 pm, arriving home at 9:00 pm. Call now to reserve a seat. 

The Friends of the Library meet the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 7:00 PM at the Seventh Stone on Reed St, across from the library. Stop by or call the library for more information if you would like to join this active fundraising group.

The library election is Tuesday October 15th from 10 am to 9 pm at the library. All registered voters in the Town of Coxsackie are eligible to vote.   
The library board meeting, which is usually scheduled for the 3rd Thursday of the month, has been moved to Thursday October 10th..
