Green Teacher's Spring issue is all about Nature Kindergartens!

The kindergarten school yard can be the perfect place to begin fostering a connection between young children and the natural world. The Spring 2014 issue of Green Teacher focuses on how children's play spaces are an important part of making and building on those connections.

Click here for a summary of the issue's contents. Articles include "Why a Nature Kindergarten," "Ten Steps for Starting a Nature Preschool," "Creating School Gardens that Last", and more! To read the full issue, click here and use the password: 100sbydz

As an additional benefit, schools also have access to archived webinars, with new webinars regularly added for the rest of the year. To access the webinars, use the password: archiveaccess.

Please remember!
Teachers are asked not to share the contents of this issue with educators outside of their school, as this would undermine the viability of this small, non-profit organization.

Greening STEM Toolkits:
classroom activities and resources

Using the environment as the
context for STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) education is the focus for National Environment Education Week. These toolkits provide a range of activities that apply and reinforce STEM concepts across multiple subject areas using real-world challenges and issues. And, just in time for spring, there are lots of activities that are perfect for getting students outside (check out the Gardens and Schools resources)!
