Report links climate change to respiratory ailments

Research shows that dirty energy causes air pollution that contributes to health problems, contaminates water, and increases the frequency and intensity of weather events. A recent report by the Maryland Environmental Health Network, Energy & Health in Maryland: A Briefing for Health Advocates, finds that Maryland's current energy choices cause air pollution that contributes to higher rates of asthma, cancer, cardiovascular disease, respiratory illnesses, and reproductive and developmental problems.
