March 4th Luncheon at the Managua Offfice
"Our job in cultural affairs is to encourage people-to-people interactions between the citizens of the U.S. and Nicaragua, whether through education, job training, medical care, community safety, etc.. And no one does this better than W/NP. I have spoken with Mirna, a community college alum from one of our programs, about W/NP's Learning Centers all over the country; I've visited firehouses with Drs Joanne and Brad Martin; we've worked with Moises on Sports Diplomacy and coordination efforts with other non-profits; the Ambassador herself has joined with the W/NP community to celebrate their truly miraculous burn garment program. W/NP brings Americans and Nicaraguans together as good as anyone. They make our job much easier."   - John Fer, Managua
Library Project Update
Special thanks Susan Tucknott, Spanish teacher, for once again incorporating the design and construction of Spanish books for the W/NP Lending Libraries into the Spanish 4 classes at Oak Creek High School.  "...the kids mainly wrote about Wisconsin again, but the stories are better this year.  There are a lot of stories with morals included.  This particular group happens to be filled with creative writers."
W/NP Wisconsin warehouse packing day - March 20th
The 3rd Thursday of every month is dedicated to packing and sorting donations at the W/NP Wisconsin Warehouse - we start about 9 am and continue until done..... stop out, pack a box, have a snack, bring a snack, stay awhile or simply take in the vast process of shipping from Wisconsin to Nicaragua!

As you can see in the faces of our volunteers, working together is really how it happens.

Thank you for your help in being part of the multifaceted shipping process.....
