Used Book Sale
The  Friends of the Rockaway Township Library are excited to announce our upcoming November book sale:

Friday, Nov. 6: Sneak Preview 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm ($10 charge)
Saturday, Nov. 7: 9:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Sunday, Nov. 8: 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm ($5 for a bag of books)

The library will be accepting donations of gently used books inside the lower level of the library from September 1 - November 5.

We are NOT accepting:
Encyclopedias, Reader's Digest or other magazines, Condensed Novels, Audio Cassettes, VHS Tapes, Computer / Health Books Published Before 2012 or Materials in Poor Shape.

Baby Time / Play and Rhyme
Thursdays, October 8
through November 19    
9:30am - 10:30am      0- 18 Months
10:30am - 11:30am    18 - 30 Months
Mondays, October 12 through November 30 @ Hibernia
9:45am - 10:45am      Newborn - 2 years

Parent and toddlers are introduced to nursery rhymes, board books, simple stories, songs, fingerplays, and playtime in an age appropriate way.

Tales & Tunes For Tots 
Mondays, October 5 through November 23

Wednesdays, October 7 through November 25
9:30am - 10:30am      Ages 2 - 3

Families participate in storytime including picture books, songs, puppets, crafts, and flannel boards. To be ready for this group, children should be able to sit for stories.

Fall Tales
Tuesdays, October 6 through November 24

Children listen to picture books and flannel board stories, sing songs, participate in a craft activity related to the stories read.

Library Adventure Club

School Ages Children participate in age appropriate stories, crafts and activities.

Preschool Skills
Mondays, October 5 through November 23

Mostly Motown

"Mostly Motown" is a review of classic rhythm & blues and soul of the 1960s and 1970s. Join Rhonda Denet and the Silver Fox Songs Trio as they celebrate a time when this primarily African-American genre crossed over to mainstream audiences.  
Featured songs were made famous by artists Aretha Franklin, The Supremes, Gladys Knight,  and more.

Antique Appraisal Road Show

Mining Iron in Northwest New Jersey

Stephanie Queirolo from the Morris County Park Commission presents an up-close investigation of birds' nests, including observing, measuring, and collecting data to determine which bird made each nest. Learn what makes a bird a bird, and the difficulty of building a nest. Registration required. Space is limited, so register today!
