The byword for September is "new" - a new season, a new school year, new goals - the chance to decide that this year will be better than last, even if last year was pretty good.
For us, the list includes a new website as well. We've been working on a redesign all year, and one lesson we've learned is that a website is never finished. So log on often for new features and updates!
Then, come January, the start of Keats's centennial year! We'll be sharing our calendar of Keats celebrations, and lots of fun ideas for turning children's activities, story times and even Mini-Grant programs into birthday parties.
Honoring Ezra's life also honors his art, his vision and his commitment to the joy of reading and the importance of diverse books. We hope you'll join the celebration and look forward with us to Ezra's next 100 years!
The EJK Bookmaking Competition has come to Baltimore - the third city,after NYC and San Francisco, to bring this creative program into its schools. We can't wait to read the winners!
