Dear Friends,                                April 2015

Off to Hattiesburg, Mississippi, for the Children's Book Festival, where the EJK Book Award Ceremony and some lovely hobnobbing take place each April. I can't wait to meet the award winners and honorees, and see what's new at the de Grummond!

Meanwhile, we present another set of champs: the San Francisco schoolchildren who participated in the third annual West Coast EJK Bookmaking Competition. Take a look at their work!

We look forward, next month, to celebrating our New York City edition and announcing who will receive the latest round of Mini-Grants. These winners are proposing to go above and beyond for their kids, and we are thrilled to support them.

Book Activities & More

In Peter's Chair, Ezra's hero has a new baby sister - and he's not happy. What happens next is told with gentle humor. Plus: Brave tots, artsy chairs, and why pink and blue are for babies.

Back to April ... a month full of holidays, some of great significance and others we just like. So we're celebrating National Siblings Day, April 10, by revisiting one of our favorite Keats stories, Peter's Chair, and discovering more books about literary sibs. Join us!

Sincerely,
