Dear Friends, January 2015
Happy New Year! This holiday inspires many people to look forward and set goals. For us, it also means looking back to the book that started it all. January is Snowy Day Month, and we invite friends old and new to celebrate Ezra's masterpiece with us.
Follow the links below to browse all the Snowy Day features on our site, from games and animated read-alouds to lesson plans, from celebrity quotes to home movies, and more.
We're looking ahead as well, to the March 15 Mini-Grant deadline. To help inspire, we added a wonderful program to our Mini-Grant Gallery and a helpful tip, below. Plus, we've made some positive changes to the application process, so be sure to read the updated guidelines. We look forward to rewarding a new round of great programs.

Great Mini-Grants
A small library dreams big with a Keats-based children's art program that culminates in a community ArtWalk.
Tip: Your idea for a program is inspired! So why run it just once? Consider whether it could be sustainable as a yearly event or a relevant addition to the curriculum.

We hope the new year brings a satisfying mix of gains, opportunities and pleasures - including catching up with Ezra's books that followed The Snowy Day.
Sincerely, Executive Director Ezra Jack Keats Foundation
