Dear Friends,

Ah, May...spring is finally here, and another school year is winding down. At the Foundation, May is a busy month. It's when we prepare for, and then put on, the awards presentation for the EJK Bookmaking Competition winners. That special evening is always a joyous occasion for us as well as the kids, families and teachers who share in the achievement.
If you can, please visit the Brooklyn Public Library Central Library, at Grand Army Plaza, to view the students' books. It is an absolute pleasure, every time.
May is also the month for other gratifying tasks, such as mailing out checks to this year's Minigrant recipients while happily reading final reports on the past year's Minigrant projects.
Soon enough, we'll be planning events and projects slated for the fall. In the meantime, our part of the country is having perfect weather and we are doing work that we love. Let's enjoy whatever makes us smile while we can.

 Sincerely,

Executive Director
