Dear Friends,
Deborah and I are off to the Children's Book Festival in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, where the 2013 EJK Book Award will be presented to New Writer Julie Fogliano and New Illustrator Hyewon Yum. I look forward to meeting top figures in the field, and visiting the famed de Grummond Collection for the first time! We'll report on the festivities when we return, but in the meantime, visit our website for compelling interviews with Julie and Hyewon and to check out this year's Honor Books. Back in Brooklyn, we'll be getting ready to celebrate the winners of the 2013 EJK Bookmaking Competition. Throughout the month of May, the latest crop of wonderful, student-made books will be on display at the Brooklyn Public Library Central Library. Check back for a preview, coming soon.
But right now, don't miss our new web offerings: a great game and cool links and lessons inspired by Keats. Happy spring!

Peter races to catch the letter that the wind blew out of his hand. Lend him a hand by typing the letters on the screen. Will you be quick enough to give him the push he needs?
