Digest #48

July marks Santa Cruz Tech Beat's 1 year anniversary! I appreciate all of the community support. Special thanks to all of our sponsors! Yes, it makes a difference.

To celebrate this milestone during July, you can list your business in our Business Catalog for $49/year (reg $69).

Thanks to the City of Santa Cruz Economic Development Department for renewing their sponsorship at the Gold level, and to Monarch Media for becoming a new Bronze sponsor! Interested in becoming a sponsor?

Upcoming Events:
  • Tue July 1, 6pm, at Cruzio: 80s and 90s Santa Cruz Geek History get-together.
From Peggy Dolgenos: Were you a geek in the 80's and 90's in Santa Cruz? Do you find yourself flooded with strong memories of beeping and screeching modems, trolls attacking you in Rogue, and the early beginnings of email? If so, come to the first 80's - 90's geek history get-together at 6 pm on Tuesday, July 1st at Cruzio, 877 Cedar Street. This is just the first. We'll do some more in the weeks to come for those who can't make that date. Really want to give everyone a chance to reminisce because there is some very cool history to save.
