Jay Wright, Elder and long-time member, will be preaching this Sunday! (Art will be at Antioch CC preaching at their Homecoming Service.)
In yesterday's sermon, Art spoke about the parables of the lost sheep (1 out of 99) and the lost coin (1 out of 10). Jay will pick up with the parable of the prodigal son (1 out of 2) - and how the "older brother" was affected by his younger brother's return.  You don't want to miss Jay's special presentation of this powerful parable.

We are pleased to announce that Will Tyler has been named Director of Student Ministries. Will has been serving as our Student Intern for two years and has demonstrated that he has the ability and the heart for the job!  With this decision and Will's acceptance of the assignment, the Search Committee has been dissolved.

A BIG "SHOUT OUT" TO OUR SECURITY AND GREETING VOLUNTEERS!  We have hosted several major events recently with 2,000 plus people in our building!  Seven schools were represented at the Parkview Cluster Music Night in April and we are expecting another large group at the Trickum Middle School Choral Concert this Thursday (5/19) .  If you have helped in the past, we thank you.  If you would like to help this Thursday, contact Bob Sutton in the church office.

ITEMS NEEDED FOR VBS:  To Be Donated:  2-litre empty bottles (need 100 ASAP), packaging tape, cardboard tubes (all sizes), pool noodles, Black lights, LED lights, rope lighting, cans of Great Stuff, cellophane (all colors), tissue paper, fake bugs, paper grocery bags (all sizes), paper towel rolls, carpet tubes, paper lunch bags. To Borrow: (please label w/your name) Spelunking gear, lanterns, flashlights, hard hats w/headlights, ropes, caving gear

Also need people to make paper mache rocks/boulders at home.  See Christy Stansberry if you are willing to help with this project.

2016 SUMMER WEDNESDAYS ...

Adults will be studying Kyle Idleman's "Gods at War" series. There are gods at war within each of us.  They battle for the throne of our hearts and much is at stake.  This is why idolatry is the most discussed problem in the entire Bible.  Behind every sin struggle that you and I have is a false god that is winning the war in our lives. Here's the schedule: 

June 15 - "God of Pleasure"

June 29 - "God of Money"

July 13  - "God of Power"

July 27  - "God of Me"
