SERMON SERIES: FULL LIFE
This Sunday (2/15): Love
Scripture: 2 Peter 1:5-8
This Sunday we will wrap up our sermon series from 2 Peter 1:5-8. The Apostle Peter saves the best quality for the end of his list when he mentions that we need to add to our faith, love. Jesus said in John 13:34, "A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another." The Apostle John writes in 1 John 3:16, " This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters." We see in scripture that God is love and our job as believers in Christ is to display that love, so that others can know God. As Paul says in 1 Corinthians 13:2, "If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing." Love is an essential quality for every follower of Christ. This Sunday we will key-in on the importance of love and how it can literally change the world. - ART
