Did you know that Eagle Mountain-Saginaw ISD hosts a series of enrichment camps each summer? No matter what your child's interests may be, we have a summer camp for that. EMS ISD Athletics and Fine Arts departments have partnered together to offer fun and exciting camps for various sports including football, soccer, basketball, and more as well as camps for those interested in robotics, coding, performing arts, painting, drawing - the list goes on and on!

Summer camps are open to any interested student in the immediate or neighboring areas - not just those students currently enrolled in EMS ISD schools. However, space is limited, so it is important to register as soon as possible.

Student Survey set to open April 6

Beginning next week, EMS ISD will be asking students in grades 6-11 to share feedback about their educational experience this year as part of the 2015-2016 Student Engagement Survey. The survey will ask students to share input and insights about their level of engagement in their classes and school activities, the relevance of their learning, the academic and emotional support they receive from teachers and staff, their social and emotional environment, and their preparation for the future. Input from our students on these important topics will help us continue to enhance and improve the educational opportunities for our students.

The Student Engagement Survey is set to open on Wednesday, April 6, and will continue through April 14. During that time, students will be provided time during the school day to participate in the short, 13-question survey. The survey is administered through an independent company and all responses will remain anonymous. District and/or campus personnel will not have access to individual student responses at any time.

High school seniors will participate in an exit survey as part of their last week of school activities. Stay tuned for information coming soon about the annual campus and district climate survey for parents!

Teacher Kayla Pearce and her students recently received a $750 garden grant to fund additions and improvements to Watson's existing outdoor laboratory education program.
