January is School Board Recognition Month
Students recognize School Board Members in special video tribute
EMS ISD honored our School Board members at the January 19 Board meeting with posters, gifts, and a special video tribute from students around the district.
Board members are elected officials who receive no compensation for their time or service. These community volunteers tackle the immense job of governing our schools, and their actions and decisions affect the present and future lives of our students.
Each EMS ISD campus has adopted a Board member for the entire year and invites them to visit classroom and activities to get a first-hand look at the learning and leading happening daily in our schools.
EMS ISD is privileged to have trustees whose focus is centered on providing a culture of excellence for our students and teachers.
To learn more about our School Board members, check out the "Did You Know" section on our District Facebook page.
