There are so many things to share with you this month!! We've added a few fun Movie Matinees to the schedule as a opportunity to get together, socialize, meet new friends, and get a little work done in the process. For our knitters and crocheters, Critters is going strong the first Saturday of the month and every Monday. We will be CLOSED on Monday, May 26 for Memorial Day. The American Sewing Guild is welcoming new members the 3rd Saturday of every month. Don't forget to visit the Earth Day Celebration at Washington Oaks Gardens State Park on Saturday (scroll down for the flyer). In Memory of Margaret....May 20-22

Now there's something and someone very special to our family that I would like to share with you. Earlier this year my mom Kathy lost a truly dear friend Margaret Nelson. Margaret was a an amazing woman. My mom watched as Margaret's family stood by her as she struggled with ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease). We invite you to join us and honor those facing this horrible affliction as we gather to support the Hopes & Dreams Challenge for ALS. We will be constructing and completing quilts for donation. If you have a top that you would like to donate, you may bring it by any time or come and quilt it on our Gammill quilting machines. You may also come to assist in piecing tops, pressing, or trimming threads & offering support. The goal in joining the "Challenge" is to:

raise awareness of ALS-Lou Gehrig's disease
provide quilts as a mechanism to bring recognition, hope, and warmth to the the lives of ALS patients
raise funds for research for treatments and a cure
