I love that movie!! I think everyone has favorite holiday traditions... and a few we could do without! Over these past 7 years Mark and I have had to really pare down our holiday celebrations so we can focus on you, our staff, and the business in general at this busy time of year. At first it made me sad not to over-decorate my house and have lots of company over. Then I realized that it was just too stressful! We could spend one rare day off decorating for the cats and another precious day off putting it all away. Yuck!

 

We continue to reinvent our ideals to focus on what is most important to us, and we relish our new traditions. We know we will get back to those cherished things in a few years, and they will probably be even more special to us then. This is the part of the journey that we have to pay attention to, for it will be far more fleeting than the rest.

Although we should probably keep paying attention because we never know what will turn out to be fleeting... or not; everything is temporary, anyway.

 

We want to thank you and our team for being a very special part of our holiday traditions and allowing us to be even a small part of yours. It really does mean the world to us!

Yes, we really booked Mrs. Claus for this fabulous family event, exclusively at Monica's!
Mrs. Claus will greet each child personally, read Christmas stories aloud and lead us in singing carols, while you enjoy cocoa or cider and Santa's Favorite cookies! Plus lots of extra surprises from the elves... 
It is a Wonderful afternoon full of Magical Fun & Surprises! For just $5!

Think about which three independently owned stores
you'd miss most if they were gone. Then stop in, say hello, and pick a little something up. That's how they stay around.


If just half the employed U.S. population spent $50 each month in independently owned stores, their purchases would generate 42,629,700,000 dollars in revenue.


For every 100 dollars spent in independently owned stores, 68 dollars return to the community through taxes, payroll, and other expenditures. In a national chain, only $43 stays here.


Spend it online and nothing comes home.
