Greetings!
"Provence presented itself as a museum of the prototypes of strong sensation: blazing light, red earth, blue sea, mauve twilight, the flake of gold buried in the black depths of the cypress; archaic tastes of wine and olive, ancient smells of dust, goat dung and thyme, immemorial sounds of cicada and rustic flute-"O for a beaker full of the warm South!"
~Robert Hughes
Can you guess where our next Food and Wine tour in Europe is? Next October we are taking our group to Provence and Paris! You can see all the details HERE, and I am so excited about this trip. We are immeasurably grateful to Doumina Whyman, www.TheEnthusiasticTraveler.com, for putting this new tour (and all our tours) together for us, and giving us the opportunity to explore new areas. Our trips are very unique and special, and that is from those who have gone with us! Check it out, tell me what you think!
Speaking of gratitude, THANK YOU for voting us 'Best Bakery' again! We are so honored to have all of you on our side!
I am heading back to Walla Walla to celebrate my grandmother and her identical twin's 90th birthday, how neat is that? They are both strong, independent women who are aging gracefully and I am excited to celebrate their lives with them.
Once we get back we swing right into holiday preparations, with a wine tasting and lots of specials coming up, then bam! it will be December. Let's all remember to breathe and enjoy the moments, my grandmother wouldn't want us to be stressed out.
Stop by for a hello and a hug if it gets too hectic!
We can't wait to see you here!
~Monica

"I will not play tug o' war. I'd rather play hug o' war. Where everyone hugs instead of tugs, Where everyone giggles and rolls on the rug, Where everyone kisses, and everyone grins, and everyone cuddles, and everyone wins."

~Dr. Seuss
| | You may be thinking "How can I help?" Here is one small way:
Bring in your donations
With the holidays coming, cold weather, and the economy doesn't seem to be getting better for so many of us, we ask that you bring in whatever you don't need, and we will make sure it gets to our neighbors in need.
Shelf-stable food; warm, clean, gently used clothing items; toiletries, diapers, batteries, sleeping bags, blankets, pillows, personal hygiene items, pre-paid phone cards, pre-paid gas cards, camping equipment, cooking equipment, lanterns and flashlights for kids to do homework when they have no light, school supplies, shoes, coats, scarves, hand warmers, back packs, tylenol, butane and propane canisters, baby food, first-aid items, and whatever else you can think of or no longer need.
We collect these items year-round, though this time of year there is more urgency, especially for our children in need. Let's work together to keep them warm, safe and feeling loved.
After all, everybody needs a little help now and then.
