 Springing into April already and so much is happening! We are participating in the Cancer Research Study because we would love to be a part of celebrating more birthdays and less cancer. Hopefully we have helped get the word out so some of you can do that too, since we know it is very important to so many of us.

Another little pie I have my finger in is this great program put on by Kitsap Community Resources for budding and growing entrepreneurs called "BE$T", or "Business Education Support & Training". I am coaching/mentoring several people who are finding out if they truly want to go down this particular business path, and if you are thinking that perhaps you might have that entrepreneurial spirit, you should check it out as a great way to be curious without taking a huge risk.
 
There is a whole lot going on this month and I hope that you are taking time to breathe in the Spring air and have some quiet moments to yourself each day.
You deserve that!

Come on in and enjoy our fabulous food, or even just a cup of coffee on this day, and it will support our annual fundraiser. We will donate 30% of the day's sales to Q-Youth Resources, formerly Kitsap County HIV AIDS Foundation.
Nothing is more important than nourishing our young generation as they become empowered women and men in our community.

It's a fabulous way to wind down your week, wind up your weekend, and just generally get your wine on! And it doesn't cost any money!
Taste fabulous wines and enjoy light appetizers to go with them! We have a whole new list and we will open some of them for you to try. Open house, come as you are, and we would love it even more if you brought some donations for the food bank!

Join Monica & Mark to learn the intricacies of making (and eating) pizza! They are back from their annual Italy Food and Wine Tour and want to share some of their learning with you. This delicious meal includes the perfect vinaigrette salad, remarkable pizza, and a simple and satisfying dessert.

*make a fabulous, simple sauce
*topping your pizza: understanding balance, order and proportions
*learn the importance of high quality ingredients
*learn tricks and techniques for the best result in your home oven
*prepare a delicious vinaigrette for any occasion and for Monica's favorite salad

Monica and Mark will take you step by step through the entire process from dough to the table. We will then enjoy the meal together including a glass (or two) of the perfect pizza wine!

for their annual Spring Fair!

Saturday April 13, 1-5 pm

Local vets, pet sitters, groomers and other professionals will be on hand to answer your pet-related questions, PLUS there will be several vendors, massage services, sales throughout the entire store and prizes for winners drawn throughout the event.

You may be thinking "How can I help?"   
Here is one small way:

 



Kitsap Rescue Mission exists to assist the homeless and poor of Kitsap County as they work toward restoration of body, mind and spirit. This main fundraiser for the year will help supply homeless and in-need families and individuals get back on their feet.

Can't go to the fundraiser? They have many needs that you may be able to fulfill just by doing a little Spring cleaning. They need:

2 and 4 person tents, sleeping bags and

backpacks. These items are essential survival tools for the Homeless who live outdoors, in their cars and for families who are shuttled from home to home while staying with friends and relatives. 

If you have these items to donate, you can either bring them to Monica's for delivery, or you can take them straight to the Mission, on the corner of 13th and Hayward in Manette, 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, daily.
