|
The Greater Akron Chamber's Group Rating Program offers savings up to the maximum available discount on your Bureau of Workers' Compensation (BWC) premium. The Chamber partners with CareWorks Consultants, Inc. (CCI) because they help employers achieve the highest group rating discount possible. Nearly 30,000 customers choose CCI to manage their workers' compensation plan. Click here to download an authorization permitting CCI to provide you with a NO-COST, NO-OBLIGATION analysis. To learn more, call CCI at 1-800-837-3200 or visit CareWorksConsultants.com. Workers' Compensation Billing Update - Deadlines Changing, Additional Savings ExpectedBWC is changing the way it bills for workers' compensation coverage to better serve Ohio employers. For decades, the agency has billed for employer premiums after the fact. The BWC will begin billing in advance of coverage starting July 1, 2015, for private employers and January 1, 2016, for public employers. This change will align BWC with standard industry billing practices. Due to the switch to prospective billing, a number of deadlines for plan and program sign-ups will change in coming months. Among them is the snapshot date for experience calculation: for private employers, that date is September 30. For public employers enrolling for the 2016 policy year, it will be March 31, 2015. Reminder - our current billing process remains in effect until July 2015, so don't forget to pay premiums as usual by September 2. For more information on key date changes in the company months, click here.
