Voting is a right and the ultimate expression of our freedom. Issue 1: Public Infrastructure Capital Improvements is a statewide issue that has provided funding to Ohio communities for 27 years. It authorizes $1.875 billion in aid for local governments; the first five years of the bonds will provide $175 million a year in funding and then $200 million a year for the remaining five years. The bonds will be used on public infrastructure projects over the next 10 years for local road, bridge, sewer and water projects. Since its inception, the program has provided over $280 million for projects in Medina, Portage and Summit Counties.
