YPN Spotlight Series
We've all heard the stereotypes about YPs: self-centered, entitled, fickle, etc., etc. Well, Akron area YPs are proving those stereotypes wrong every day by making major contributions to the community and to local businesses, from significant volunteer work to innovative business practices. The YPN developed the Spotlight Series as a way to showcase (ok, maybe brag a little) the stellar work YPs are doing right here in Greater Akron.
A new YP will be featured each month and will be asked a series of questions. If you are interested in being featured, contact Angela Presutti at presutti@greaterakronchamber.org.
May Feature: Chris McKnight, Resource Development Director, United Way of Summit County
What's a typical day look like for you?
As a Resource Development Director, my number-one objective is to cultivate and strengthen both business and individual relationships with United Way. Advocating the needs in our community, explaining our collaborative efforts and providing exceptional customer service are vital to the success of my job.
What do you feel is your impact on the community - personal, professional or economic? I choose to measure my success not by money or status, but by the lives I have impacted and improved. I believe my most valuable contribution to our community has been and will continue to be my desire and passion to advocate the needs in the community and rallying others to commit to a cause.
