It's been a long time since I've gotten a newsletter out and so much has happened during this time. Just before Easter, my father was diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung Cancer. Sadly, he passed away on May 21st after his short battle. He was a good man with a kind heart and a big personality. His presence is missed more every day as reality sets in knowing he won't be coming back. The biggest lessons I learned from him were to love unconditionally, not sweat the small stuff and to never lose your sense of humor. Thank you for your support and concern during this difficult time.
On a positive note, we attended the Southeastern PA Home & Garden Expo and won "Most Beautiful Display" at the home show. I've included some photos from the feature booth. Special thanks to John Ross, our Interior Designer for his efforts... it certainly paid off.
Summer is a great time to start thinking about your Fall projects. The holidays can be a busy time, so it's a great time to get moving on these projects now so that they are completed well in advance. It can be instrumental in having a stress-free holiday season.
Hope to see you soon,
Kim

The Forgotten Room
Hey... what about the bathroom? Ah, the poor bathroom. A room used so often and yet a room that is so overlooked. I feel badly for the bathroom - and it's time we stop neglecting it.
What if your bathroom was like a little jewel box, just waiting to be opened - and when it was opened, my, what a delight you would find! This can happen in your home, if we would just give the bathroom the same attention to detail and design that we do for the other rooms in your home.
A bathroom is typically a hard place with porcelain, tile, wood and metal finishes. Hard, hard, hard. To soften up a room, we always recommend introducing fabric. That is sometimes hard to do when there is often not even a window to speak of.
Today many bathrooms have free standing tubs and glass shower surrounds. But if you have a traditional bathroom - with the need for a shower curtain - it is time to begin thinking beyond the standard shower curtain and liner you would get at Bed, Bath & Beyond.
What if we change our way of looking at things - what if we look past "just a shower curtain" and consider framing the shower or tub the same way we would a beautiful window - with a gorgeous, well thought out and detailed custom "window" treatment. Add towels with beautiful embellishments for a finishing touch.
Just by adding a fabulous fabric with great details, your new shower curtain can go from purely functional to truly a focal point for the whole room. And your bathroom really can become a "little jewel box".
Think of all of the gorgeous window treatments you have seen and now imagine having your bath or shower framed in the same fabulous way. Imagine the possibilities!
So let's turn those thoughts into reality. Give me a call and let me help you turn your bathroom into a beautiful room!
