Hello colleagues,

Welcome to spring in the northern half of the world or fall if you’re in the southern hemisphere!

The arrival of the globe’s respective vernal and autumnal equinoxes always heralds the coming of Earth Hour and Earth Day. Along with Spider-Man - yes, the friendly neighborhood kind (alter ego of Peter Parker), Let’s Light the Way with Earth Hour This Saturday and Become Superheroes! Join us on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at 8:30 – 9:30 PM local time, where ever you are – as we turn off the lights for sixty minutes to help generate environmental awareness of our planet.

On April 22 we’ll celebrate the 44th annual Earth Day by once again hosting our “Love the Earth, Plant a Roof or Wall!” Photo Contest. This year we’ve added planted walls to the mix, so it should be even more interesting to see all of the submissions on Facebook. Tell your friends and colleagues to vote in this popularity contest and get in the running to win a $100 gift certificate plus have your project featured in an upcoming Project of the Week.

Have you seen our new "Project of the Week Video" to accompany our highly popular "Project of the Week" eNews blasts? Read the New! Project of the Week Video on Greenroofs.com & Featured on Our YouTube Channel and watch them below. Short and sweet, the videos feature the Project Description, additional photos, and the logos of companies who worked on the project who are Greenroofs.com’s advertisers.

Hanover Architectural Products Headquarters

March: Hanover Architectural Products Headquarters in Hanover, PA USA by Roofmeadow® and more...

Roofmeadow® designed a showcase for the green roof for Hanover® Architectural Products, the industry leader in architectural pavers, at their headquarters providing landscape architectural and engineering services. With patio seating, seatwalls, and a stage area, employees are free to enjoy the amenity space at lunchtime and for events and presentations. Hanover® also uses the retrofit rooftop for potential clients and partners. The Roofmeadow® assembly contains 4-26" of media with a diversity of herbaceous perennials, shrubs, and trees and base capillary irrigation; the project took six weeks to construct.
