Birdville High School Volleyball Playoffs

Birdville High School's girls volleyball team will play Wichita Falls Rider at 6:30 p.m.  Monday, Nov. 3 at Bowie High School in Bowie. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for students. District 5 and 6-5A passes will be accepted.
Congratulations Haltom High School Band

Congratulations to The Pride of Haltom Marching Band who was selected to compete in the 2014 UIL State Marching Competition on Nov. 4 at the Alamodome in San Antonio. Haltom will represent Area B at this year's state marching contest with Marcus High, Hebron High, and Flower Mound High. Additional applause goes to the Richland High School Marching Band with their outstanding performance at the Area B contest with an 11th-place finish in the preliminary performance.
Congratulations to the BISD middle school singers
Congratulations to the BISD middle school singers who recently participated in the Texas Music Educators Association Region 5 Middle School Choir auditions.  More than 800 seventh- and eighth-grade choir members from Birdville, HEB, Mansfield and Arlington school districts competed for 233 chairs in the region Mixed or Honor Treble choirs.  Almost 40 percent of each region choir is filled with Birdville singers.  The region choirs will perform in a special concert at 5 p.m.  Nov. 15 at Martin High School.
