Student/Family Military Status
|
The state of Texas is now requiring all school districts to report the military-connected status, if any, of every student attending school in their district. Information needed is very simple: not a military connected student, student is a dependent of an active duty serviceman, or student is a dependent of a reservist. Families will be asked to provide this information twice a year. Families are requested to complete the form for each student in BISD. As part of the collection process, the person completing the form will have to provide the following: student ID (lunch number), student name, parent/guardian name, email and phone number. The email and phone number is needed in case the student ID and name do not match.
