BISD Playoff Information


Birdville High School's girls basketball team will play Wichita Falls Rider in the first round of the UIL State Playoffs at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 11 at Bowie High School. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for students.

Richland High School's girls basketball team will play North Crowley in the first round of the UIL State Playoffs at
6 p.m. Monday, Feb. 11 at the UTA Special Events Center. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for students.
Birdville Council of PTAs Founders Day
Birdville Council of PTAs will celebrate Founders Day (commemorating the establishment of the Parents and Teachers Association) with dinner and program Feb. 21 at the Thomas Coliseum. The dinner and silent auction is from 5:45-6:45 p.m., and the program/meeting begins at
7 p.m. Students who have won at the PTA Council level of the annual Reflections Arts Program will be recognized at this event.

BISD's ASPIRE Program
BISD's ASPIRE program is hosting the following free events in February and March. They are:
  • ESL at Holiday Heights Elementary from 3:30-5 p.m. every Monday;
  • Zumba at the Academy at C.F. Thomas from 4:30-5:30 p.m. every Tuesday, and Financial Literacy classes from 4:30-5:30 p.m. Feb. 26 and March 5;
  • Healthy Families Nutrition series at Watauga Elementary from 4-5 p.m. every Wednesday through March 27;
  • Zumba at Binion Elementary from 5:30-6:30 p.m. every Thursday;
  • Fitness Class at Hardeman Elementary from 5:30-6:30 p.m. every Thursday;
  • Dinosaur George will visit Foster Village Elementary at 3:45 p.m. and 4:45 p.m. Feb. 14;
  • Dinosaur George will visit Mullendore Elementary at 3:45 p.m. Feb. 15; and
  • Talent Showcase at Richland Middle School at 6 p.m. Feb. 28.
Step Ahead Program
Watauga Middle School is hosting a free Parents Step Ahead program from 5-8 p.m. Feb 26 at the school. The topics will be:  Parenting Skills & Parent-Child Communications, and Tips for Getting Hired. There will be free food, free child care (child must be potty trained), and a community resource fair. Also, there will be a computer given away to one lucky participant.
