It is never easy to wrap our arms around such tragic events, like the recent mass shooting in Orlando. This is heartbreaking and our thoughts continue to be with everyone impacted by this tragedy.

To help us, the National Center for School Crisis and Bereavement, with the Coalition to Support Grieving Students, prepared the resource guide, The Orlando Shootings - Parents' Guide for Talking to Their Children, to help school nurses, caregivers, and families, talk to children about the upsetting event in Orlando. This guide provides responses to questions children are likely to have, how to support them if they are upset, as well as additional links that address more questions.

Thank you for supporting your students and their families.
